Pin Collection and Display

I saw this cool way to display pins on Instagram a little while ago and had to try it out!
With just a little bit of fabric and some embroidery hoops I have an awesome wall hanging that shows off my pin collection!

I really underestimated how many pins I had! I actually thought three hoops would be too many, but oh well, can never have too many pins!  I'm currently on the hunt for knitting related pins.

Have a great day!

2017 Reading Challenge

During the snow storm we had a few days ago I went on a reading binge and read a load of trade paperbacks and finished a manga. When I went on my Good Reads to scan them in I realized I hadn't set a 2017 reading goal yet.  Last year I did a free for all, including all the books I read.  But this year I think I'll narrow it down to only graphic books.  Trade paperback, graphic novels, and manga!
I'm at 6 out of 100 right now.

Trade paperbacks:
1. Jonsey
2. Curb Stomp
3. Paper Girls 2
4.Catwoman (the new 52)
5. Grindhouse: Doors Open At Midnight double feature including Bee Vixens from Mars and Prison Ship

Manga
6. Princess Jellyfish

I enjoyed Princess Jellyfish so much, I can't wait to get the second one!

I'm documenting them as I go on my Good Reads and on my Instagram and will probably list them in bundles here every week or so, depending on how much reading I can get done.

Have a great day!

I Hate Fairyland and Swamp Thing

*If you haven't read volume 1, do not continue, I don't want to spoil it for you :) *

I love "I Hate Fairyland" so much and issue 6 was awesome!  When we last saw Gertrude she had found the way home only to have the door shut in her face!  After killing the queen of fairyland, who desperately had it coming, Gert automatically became the new queen, keeping her trapped in mother fluffin' fairyland.

In this issue we see how Gert handles being queen and the tasks that are required of her., with cool Larry along side her as always.  I'm so excited to see what happens in this arc and I can't wait for the next issue!

I had mentioned to Eddie that I wanted to read some Swamp Thing, so for my birthday I picked me up Swamp Thing, Vol 1 of the new 52!  This is my first Swamp Thing book.  I never read any before, I remember watching the show with my dad when I was little but I didn't remember much of the story.  All I knew going into it was that some guy turned into a swampy thing.  Now with that said I was worried that I would have to go back and read the older versions of Swamp Thing to get a better grasp of this one.  (I know the new 52 was a reboot so more people could get on board, but still, I wasn't sure.  I'm still learning)

But that wasn't the case.  I got plenty of backstory to understand what was going on with the "new" Alec Holland and the fight going on between the Green and the Rot.  The story was really interesting and the art and colors were amazing!  It was really beautiful!  I am definitely going to continue with this, I believe there are 7 volumes.  I still plan to read the older versions, no such thing as too much Swamp Thing! :)

Have a great day!

Comic Book Holder and Pencil Cup Crafts

I saw a video on Buzz Feed for making a letter sorter out of cereal boxes and thought that would be a cool idea for our comic book t.b.r. pile also good for ones you don't wanna stash away in a short/long box but would rather display or keep handy.

I cut mine from the side instead of the fronts like the tutorial so I could fit it on my shelf better, and I covered it in duct tape!

Another easy project is this pencil holder.  I used a plastic lemonade container and wrapped some yarn around it, adding a few dots of glue.  I love quick and easy crafts!

Have any recommendations for quick crafts?  Let me know!

Have a great day!
